Northumberland Open Exhibition 2026

Housed in Woodhorn Museum’s stunning Workshop Galleries, the annual Northumberland Open is the largest exhibition of its type in Northumberland and is open from Saturday 14 February until Sunday 10 May 2026.
 
Location: Woodhorn Museum, QEII Country Park, Ashington, NE63 9YF
 
I have three paintings in this year’s exhibition, Back to the Beach, Whitley Bay, St Mary’s Lighthouse from the Beach and Within Sight, all of which are available for sale and to view in person.
 
The exhibition promises to be a fantastic celebration and showcase of North East art and creativity so I do hope you are able to see it during the run.
 
 
Plein Air North East: Art Exhibition
 
I will have a number of works to view and for sale as part of the Plein Air North East: Art Exhibition which will be held in the gallery space of the People’s Theatre in Newcastle upon Tyne. 
 
Plein Air North East is a collective of artistsconsisting of Stuart Jones, Susanna Heath, Maria Laffey Cooper, Anna Goulding, Steve Sherris and Lewis Dimmick-who paint directly from the landscape.  This exhibition will feature oils, watercolours and acrylics capturing rural, urban and coastal scenes across the North East and Scotland.  The work celebrates the joy of painting outdoors and the peace found through a deep connection to nature. 
Preview: Sunday 24th May, 2pm-4pm
Exhibition: 25th May -24th July

Past Exhibition

A solo exhibition of outdoor and studio paintings inspired by the coastal landscape of Tyneside.

Organised in association with For the Love of the North, see the works in person upstairs in the dome of Spanish City, Whitley Bay, NE26 1BG

Runs from 8th April-2nd November 2025.  Opening event Friday 11th April from 6:30pm-8pm.  All are welcome.
