ABOUT ME
Working in the moment to capture the essence of the scene, every brushmark and colour decision is a response to my observation and feeling of the landscape around me.
Born in Middlesbrough in 1981 I gained a BA Hons in Fine Art at Northampton University in 2003. After moving to Newcastle upon Tyne I completed an MA in Fine Art at Newcastle University in 2007 and a PGCE in Art Education at Northumbria University in 2008.
I am a founding member of local painting group Plein Air North East and can regulalry be seen painting outdoors along the North East coastline that is a continuous source of inspiration for my work in oils.

My work is held by private collectors both nationally and internationally and also in the collection of a public art gallery in the UK.
