I always enjoy visiting Seaton Sluice and on this particular occasion I found myself on Rocky Island looking for a subject to paint. It wasn’t until I looked back over my shoulder that I noticed a fantastic view of the gable end of The King’s Arms. The light was particularly striking and I loved putting in the violet shadows on the ground and warm light effects on the pub building.
Framed in a hand-painted traditional frame with Farrow and Ball ‘Dove Tale’, along with an inner white slip frame.
