This was my first time painting sunflowers on location and it was so happy to have included an apple tree and pumpkins growing at the base of the sunflowers as part of the composition. The feeling of renewal and rejuvenation was wonderful to capture, incorporating the seasonal changes taking place.
Framed in hand-painted traditional frame using ‘old white’ Farrow and Ball colours, along with an inner white slip frame.
