Catching the Surf shows the surfers and body boarders braving the elements as the waves were crashing with full force at Tynemouth Longsands. Lots of surfers were hot on their heels to experience and make the most of the raw power of nature. A hardy sea swimmer also passed my easel so had to quickly capture the moment.
